Torpedo Factory wedding

Are you planning a Torpedo Factory wedding? The Torpedo Factory is one of my favorite venues in Old Town Alexandria. I live in Old Town, and there are a few great Alexandria wedding venues. But if you're interested in industrial chic, a Torpedo Factory wedding is absolutely perfect for you!

The Torpedo Factory is located on the waterfront in Old Town Alexandria and was once a real torpedo factory. The building was constructed after World War I and produced torpedoes during World War II. For a while, the building was used for storage by the US government until the City of Alexandria purchased it in 1969.

In 1974, the plan for the future of the Torpedo Factory was finalized and work began to remove debris and renovate the Torpedo Factory. After just a few months, the building had been transformed into an artists collective. It is now the home of the largest group of artists working under one roof! More than half a million visitors pass through the Torpedo Factory every year. I'm not sure if that includes wedding guests!

As one of the larger venues in Northern Virginia, the Torpedo Factory can accommodate 220 people for a classic style wedding reception. The design and style of the building are really unusual and can be easily enhanced with great lighting and floral arrangements! There's plenty of room for a band, or keep your dance floor space and opt for a DJ.

I'd love to talk with you about your Torpedo Factory wedding - please reach out to me and we can discuss photography and how I can help you with your plans!
