This National City Christian Church wedding was on an incredibly stormy, rainy day.
The bride and groom had their first look at the Loews Madison Hotel. They'd decided to see each other and set aside some time for pre wedding portraits! I'm so glad they did, because the impending storm was on its way and we were hoping we would have enough time to take some beautiful photos before the rain started!
After the first look, we got into the limo and headed down to the National Mall. We had an opportunity to take some lovely, romantic wedding photos during the time we spent there. In spite of being overcast, it was a pleasant day and we had some great views!
Once we finished with their Dc wedding portraits, literally the moment we got into the limo for our trip back to the National City Christian church - it started to drizzle and then pour! The rain was very heavy and we had finished just in time.
We arrived at the church in time for some pre ceremony family portraits. The bride and groom's family were there, and obviously due to weather, the best place to photograph the family groups was inside the sanctuary!
The ceremony began and as the bride and her father arrived at the front of the sanctuary, her dad gave the groom this kiss on the temple. I thought this was such a wonderful moment, and I'm proud to have captured it.
