Union Station Presidential Suite wedding

Union Station Presidential Suite

This couple chose the beautiful Presidential Suite at Union Station for their wedding celebration. The Presidential Suite is a beautiful space, located on the far side of the station, with its own private entrance. The soaring ceiling with its archways makes for a dramatic wedding venue.

We started the day at the boutique George Hotel, located just a few blocks from the reception venue. The George is a great place to get ready if you're planning a Union Station wedding, or really any event on Capitol Hill. I liked the unique decor and touches at this unique property.

After a church ceremony at St. Peter's, we took some time for wedding portraits around Capitol Hill. Then we walked over to get some portraits at Union Station, outside in the archways, before the couple joined their guests at cocktail hour.

The space has a very historic feel, and was only recently made available for private events. The columns and vintage lights are some of my favorite features of the space. The adjacent glass hallway is a great hang out space for guests who want to take a break from the music.

I always enjoy photographing Union Station weddings, but it was great to have an opportunity to work in this unique and stunning room. Take a look through the gallery for more images from this Presidential Suite wedding.
