This lovely Washington DC Indian Wedding took place over the course of two days. The first day was in Potomac, Maryland where the couple celebrated their traditional Indian ceremony with family and close friends. The groom entered in a traditional baraat, with his friends and family members. Although a baraat in a Honda is atypical, the fun, clapping, dancing, and singing was so much fun.
The bride's family greeted the groom and his family and they all entered together to begin the ceremony.
Once the ceremony was completed, the couple and their friends and family celebrated with refreshments, and we took time for some posed family photographs.
The following day, their Indian fusion wedding continued at the Meridian House. Meridian House is a beautiful mansion with stunning grounds and a linden grove immediately adjacent to the rear of the building.
S&S exchanged their vows on a sunny, beautiful day in the Meridian House garden. They integrated some Indian traditions from the previous day, including an exchange of garlands and some traditional readings.
The guests enjoyed cocktail hour in the linden grove to celebrate this DC Indian wedding. The cocktail hour concluded with lovely toasts by each set of parents, before guests were invited into the Meridian House mansion to be seated for dinner.
