This Old Town Alexandria elopement was on a stormy April day. The rain was pouring down as we arrived to meet the justice of the peace so that A&K could sign their paperwork. As they worked on their marriage license, their family members arrived. Then, in a stroke of good luck, as they finished the paperwork, the sun came out and the rain disappeared!
Along with their kids, A&K headed to an outdoor space they'd chosen in advance. The Justice of the Peace accompanied us, and A's dad walked her down to the ceremony.
After exchanging brief but emotional vows, A&K were pronounced husband wife! Then after some photos of the newly formed family, we headed out to take some Old Town Alexandria elopement photos! It was a lot of fun to take portraits of the newlyweds in different places around Old Town. There are so many pretty nooks and crannies in different neighborhoods!
I live in Old Town, so Old Town Alexandria elopements are especially fun for me to photograph!
